Art Showcase

I am lucky enough to have a few pieces of my art up at Cups coffeehouse (the best coffeehouse ever) in Brandon, MS. I am on their schedule for March as the featured artist, which means I will have the whole place to showcase my work. But for now they needed a few pieces from different artists to fill up their space for December. I do not really like what I have up there now because I have had those pieces for so long that I am just immuned to them. I guess if it's your first time seeing them, they're ok... but I have a different style now and I have grown as an artist I think... SO in March, I will have mostly new stuff and I am excited about it. Here are some pictures of a big piece I am currently working on. Not complete just yet... enjoy! And if you're in the Brandon area in March please stop by Cups, get a blondie, and compliment the artist :)

Ethanisms

My kid is funny. He already has a great sense of humor and he is only 4. Here are some of my favorite Ethanisms...

Me: Ethan, do you still play with Channing at school?
Ethan: Yeah...
Me: Is she still your girlfriend?
Ethan: No...
Me: Well why not, you don't like her anymore?
Ethan (shrugging his shoulders): Mommy, sometimes... you just have to break.
-lesson learned - Ethan will end a relationship it if it's not right, but will remain friends...

Ethan: Mom I need to ex somebody.
Me: "ex" somebody? what do you mean?
Ethan: You know... push buttons on your phone to make words...
-lesson learned - Ethan is going to be tech-savvy and will text a lot...

(after buying Ethan a plastic sword at the fair)
Ethan: Mommy! Now I can cut bad monsters. I can cut them in their tummies and they will bweed!
-lesson learned - Don't ever let Ethan see me as a "bad monster".

Ethan's prayer in song (which he sings before every meal at home)
"God our Father, God our Father
We thank you, We thank you
For our many blessings, For our many blessings
God, aw man, God, aw man. - Amen."

I love him. Pictures will be posted soon...
